Overview
An AI-powered study workspace in development. Notes connect to summaries, flashcards, quizzes, explanations, and study recaps. Distinct from MAGS, which is a shipped course-specific reviewer with actual use by classmates.
Problem
Most study tools help students collect information but do little to test understanding. I wanted a product that could turn notes into active practice and explain mistakes while the context was still fresh.
What I built
The product combines a rich notebook editor, AI tutor, flashcard and quiz generation, session recaps, a calendar, file import, and automatic summaries in one full-stack application.
Technical approach
Convex handles the reactive data layer while Groq-powered features operate on the student's own notebook content. Structured AI responses go through JSON validation, deduplication, and ambiguity checks, with fallbacks and rate-limit feedback so generation never leaves the student stuck.
A study hub at a glance
Students see notebooks, upcoming tasks, and the Pomodoro timer as soon as they open the app, with LanceBot available when they need a nudge.
Notes and an AI tutor side by side
Students can write in a full editor while asking the tutor to explain a concept, generate an outline, or respond to the notes already on screen.
Generate practice from real notes
The AI extracts key concepts from notebook content and creates a reusable flashcard deck that persists with the rest of the study workspace.
Feedback while the mistake is still useful
Generated quizzes explain wrong answers immediately in a conversational mix of Filipino and English, then summarize what the student should revisit.
Planning belongs beside the work
Students can schedule quizzes and review sessions, connect them to the right notebook, and see upcoming work from the dashboard.
