Overview
An interactive tennis data story with player profiles, head-to-head comparisons, career timelines, and surface insights. Designed and developed as an editorial website rather than a conventional dashboard.
Context
The era is usually reduced to a Grand Slam count. I wanted to show the shape of each career: rivalries, surfaces, timelines, and the moments where their paths crossed.
Design approach
Each player has a distinct color identity, while bold sports-editorial typography keeps the data energetic. The charts and timelines were built from structured data without a charting library.
The era at a glance
The homepage places the three careers beside one another before visitors move into individual profiles and rivalries.

A clear route into each career
The player index gives the headline comparison first, then opens a dedicated profile for each athlete.

Career detail without losing the story
Profiles combine Grand Slam breakdowns, surface performance, records, and rivalry context in one editorial view.

Explore every rivalry
Matches are structured by year, surface, tournament, score, and context, allowing visitors to filter the complete rivalry history.

See the full arc
The timeline makes peak years, major titles, and shifts in momentum easy to scan across an unusually long era.
